Sr. Pastor
Pastor Sean D. Deese is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Open Arms Community Church Katy, bringing more than 25 years of preaching and ministry experience to his calling of helping people understand God's Word and experience its transforming power in everyday life.
With seminary training and years of practical ministry experience, Pastor Sean brings a unique perspective to ministry by combining sound biblical interpretation, practical application, and an understanding of the emotional and relational challenges people face. His preaching is rooted in Scripture, centered on Christ, and committed to making the timeless truths of the Bible relevant to the realities of life today.
At the heart of his ministry is a passion for reaching people who may have felt overlooked, ostracized, judged, or disconnected from the traditional church. He believes that Open Arms Community Church Katy should be a place where people can encounter God, discover their purpose, experience authentic community, and be equipped to live out their faith beyond Sunday morning.
Under his leadership, Open Arms Community Church Katy is committed to Equipping, Empowering, and Engaging people to become spiritually mature followers of Christ while addressing the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of the community.
Pastor Sean is also a devoted husband and father who understands the importance of faith, family, leadership, and legacy. Whether preaching from the pulpit, teaching Bible studies, mentoring others, or simply having a conversation, his desire remains the same: to help people see that God's Word still speaks, God's grace still reaches, and God's purpose is still available to every person willing to respond to Him.
